People who ate in American diners didn't come for fancy food. Customers wanted dishes that were familiar, the kind of food you might have at home, maybe served by your own mother, only better. You knew your favorites were always on the menu. That's why at Annie's we pride ourselves on our varied menu, large portions, and family friendly atmosphere; all at a great value.

The restaurant known as Annie’s Country Kitchen originally started in the mid-1970’s, and was known for their quality food, especially breakfast. In March of 1987, at the suggestion of the waitresses at the restaurant, Leonard Petrillo bought Annie’s, and started his own culinary adventure. Seeking a career change from his work as a carpenter, Lenny kept the tradition alive and expanded the business to what you see today.

Originally just offering breakfast and lunch, Annie’s now proudly serves dinner three days a week. In 2003, Annie’s started offering a catering service, providing large pans of our delicious food to be served by our customers at their family functions and events. Over the years, we have expanded to a full-service catering company taking our famous home cooking to any off site location, or at our newly renovated banquet facility at La Salle Reception Center in Southbridge. And yes, Lenny put his own creative carpentry skills back to work to complete the Tuscan Room renovations at La Salle, amazing the guests we host each week.

For over 25 year, Lenny and his staff have been serving the community the food they love to remember. Some come on down and experience the best Central Mass. has to offer in home-style cooking!

We cook with only the best ingredients. We make many of our items from scratch. From a full roast turkey dinner to our famous meatloaf and chicken pot pie, each meal is prepared with care.  Hungry?  Try our half pound Angus hamburger or finish off your meal with our home-made bread pudding or grape nut custard.
